DRYING APPLES


  Peel, core and cut apples into  slices  or rings about 1/8
inch  thick.   Pretreat  to  prevent  darkening.   Dry  in a
dehydrator 6 to 12 hours.  The  apples  have  dried properly
if they  are pliable and  have no  moist area in  the center
when cut.
