Dietz Famous Kerosene Lanterns
GLOBES, AND WICKS AVAILABLE SEPARATELY Approved Fuels for use in all wick lamps and lanterns include: Kerosene, charcoal lighter fluid, clear or colored lamp oil, paraffin oil, or citronella oil. Wicking is consumed at the rate of approximately 1/8"-3/16" per gallon of fuel burned. Wick consumption does vary according to the fuel used, the more refined the fuel, the longer the wick lasts and the cleaner the lantern burns. Paraffin oil is the cleanest burning, and generally is reserved for use indoors due to it's cost. Citronella oil is for outside use only, and is commonly used for combating insects. At no time should gasoline, Coleman fuel/white gas, paint thinner, wood alcohol, diesel, or any other explosive fuel be used in a wick lantern. Return to Solareagle Home Page
